♡ My Headcanons About Gojo ♡

✧ A lonely childhood

Because Satoru was born into the prestigious Gojo clan with extraordinary abilities, I imagine that he was treated more like a valuable weapon than a normal child. His life was probably shaped by expectations from a very young age, leaving him with little opportunity to experience an ordinary childhood. I think he spent a lot of time alone and never really learned how to form normal, healthy relationships. He grew up knowing that he was the strongest, but that doesn't necessarily mean he knew how to connect with other people. As a result, he does whatever he wants and doesn't always follow social norms. Some people might find him annoying or arrogant, but I think there's a lonely little boy hiding underneath all that confidence.

✧ His grief over Geto Suguru

After losing his best friend, Geto Suguru, Satoru carried that grief with him into adulthood. I imagine that losing Suguru affected him far more deeply than he ever let anyone see. He probably learned to hide his sadness behind his usual smile, jokes, and carefree attitude. After all, he couldn't afford to fall apart when everyone depended on him to be the strongest. I like to think that his students brought some warmth back into his life. They couldn't erase his grief, but they gave him new people to care about and a reason to keep fighting for a better future. Maybe, in some small way, they helped him feel less alone.

✧ His relationship with his students

I genuinely believe that Satoru loves and cares deeply about his students, even if he isn't always good at expressing it. His relationship with Megumi is especially interesting to me. I wouldn't necessarily call it a traditional father-son relationship, but I do think Satoru took on a protective, almost parental role in Megumi's life. He looked out for him and gave him opportunities he might not otherwise have had. Satoru isn't perfect, and he couldn't protect everyone from everything. Still, I believe he did what he could for Megumi while carrying the enormous responsibilities of being the strongest sorcerer alive.

I just wish someone would take care of Satoru, too. He deserves to be loved and protected just as much as everyone else. :(

✧ Gojo in a romantic relationship

Despite the popular claim that Satoru would be a cheater in a relationship, I personally don't see him that way. As far as I'm aware, the claim about him cheating is often discussed in connection with a translation or interpretation of Gege Akutami's comments, so I wouldn't treat it as definitive canon. In my headcanon, Satoru would be loyal to his partner. However, I think he'd struggle with relationships for entirely different reasons. He's emotionally guarded, incredibly busy, and used to dealing with everything on his own. He might have trouble opening up, making enough time for his partner, or understanding what they need from him emotionally. I can imagine him forgetting important dates because of work, cancelling plans because of an emergency, or insisting that everything is fine when he's clearly struggling. Not because he doesn't love his partner, but because he's spent his entire life putting his responsibilities before himself.

I think he'd need someone patient enough to understand him, but also someone who reminds him that a relationship requires effort, communication, and time. And when he finally lets someone into his heart? I imagine he'd be much softer than he'd ever admit.

✧ More thoughts about him

  • I think he secretly enjoys being taken care of, even if he acts like he doesn't need anyone.
  • He would absolutely tease his partner just to get their attention, then act innocent when they call him out.
  • He probably struggles to ask for help because he's so used to being the person everyone relies on.
  • I imagine that he would love having someone around whom he doesn't have to impress or be the strongest for.
  • He deserves a quiet life, warm hugs, sweet treats, and someone who loves him for who he is — not for his power.

♡ Why do I love him so much? ♡

Well, it's hard not to love him, isn't it? A lot of people like Satoru because he's hot, strong, and rich. And honestly, I get it! He's gorgeous. It's hard NOT to love him. ♡

But here's the funny thing: when I first started watching Jujutsu Kaisen, years and years ago, back when the first season had just been released, I actually HATED him. I mean, I thought there was nothing special about him! He reminded me of a mop, lol. I thought he was just another annoying, silly character whose entire personality revolved around making jokes and being obnoxious. You know, the kind of character who's always fooling around and never seems to take anything seriously?

I was wrong.

Somewhere around 2023–2024, I started reading the manga, and that's when everything changed. That's when I fell in love with him. So Gojo Satoru isn't just a "hot anime man" to me. There's so much more to him than that. When I was all alone in the United States, I found comfort in his character. I don't even know how to explain it properly, but I felt connected to him. I felt like I understood his loneliness, his emptiness, and the way he seemed to stand apart from everyone else. Despite being surrounded by people, he was still alone in a way that nobody seemed to understand. And I think that's something I relate to more than I'd like to admit.

I've felt like that, too. Like nobody really gets me. Like I can be surrounded by people and still feel completely alone. I tend to hide my feelings, struggle with trust, and try to handle everything on my own. Sometimes, it's easier to pretend I'm okay than to let someone see that I'm not. And maybe that's one of the reasons I love him so much. I see a little bit of myself in him. Or maybe I see the parts of myself that I struggle to explain to other people.

There's another thing I absolutely adore about Satoru: the way he cares about his students. I have such a soft spot for male characters who are good with kids, and Satoru is no exception. Behind all his teasing and ridiculous behaviour, there's someone who genuinely wants the next generation to have a better life than he did. He wants his students to grow stronger, to have choices, and to live in a world that doesn't treat them as disposable. And I think that's beautiful.

Maybe I love him because, beneath all that confidence and power, I see someone who deserves to be understood, too.

Am I crazy for loving him this much? Please don't judge me, okay? :(

Sometimes I wonder if it's wrong to be so attached to a fictional character. I know he's not real, and I'm perfectly aware of the difference between fiction and reality. I still date real people, have my own life, and understand that an anime character isn't going to magically walk out of my screen and marry me. Unfortunately.

Still Satoru is genuinely very dear to me. In a way, he saved me. Or, at least, his character helped me get through a time when I felt incredibly alone. He gave me something to hold on to, someone I could relate to, and a little bit of comfort when I needed it most. And I don't think there's anything shameful about that.

Of course, he's my dear husband. ♡ But beyond all the silly fangirling, he's a character who means a lot to me for reasons that go much deeper than his looks.
